Ol Donyo Wuas lies in the foothills of the Chyulu Range on the Mbirikani Group Ranch, a 275,000 Maasai owned ranch that is located between the Amboseli, Chyulu, Tsavo and Kilimanjaro National Parks. The Lodge nestles in the western foothills of the Chyulu range, overlooking Kilimanjaro with quintessential Africa in the foreground, flat top acacia trees and golden savannah.

Getting there:
You have two choices to get to Ol Donyo Wuas.
1. There are reliable and inexpensive daily scheduled "air-taxi" flights between Wilson Airport in Nairobi and Ol Donyo Wuas with a company called Safarilink. Their flights leave Wilson Airport in Nairobi at 07h30 in the morning and arrive at Ol Donyo Wuas at 08h20. The air taxi departs Ol Donyo Wuas at 08h30 and arrives back at Wilson Airport in Nairobi at 09h40 in time to connect with the flights to the Maasai Mara and Laikipia. The aircraft flown is the reliable and safe 10 seater Cessna Caravan and the flying time is around an hour (depending on what other stops they have to make on their rounds.)

2. If your timetable does not fit with Safarilink's schedule, then the other option is to charter an aircraft and fly when you want to fly from wherever is convenient for you. As Ol Donyo Wuas is only an hour from Nairobi and a little more from the Mara, these costs are not exorbitant.

Our airfield is a grass airfield of a little over a kilometre and can take aircraft up the size of Cessna Caravans, Pilatus PC12's and even Beechcraft King Airs
